Emily & Val
Emily is a long time supporter of social justice & environmental organizations. A Nashville native, she is a mother of a 19 year old daughter, Jennifer, who is a college student.  Emily is a health care professional and a Nashville based business owner.
 
An active member for many years in Nashville’s GLTB community, she purchased the building and co-founded Nashville’s Gay & Lesbian Center and Nashville's Women's Alliance (NWA) She produced the once locally famous “NWA coffee houses” and published the NWA newsletter for many years.  
 
Val is a singer/songwriter, political activist and documentary filmmaker. Her Grammy nominated CD: GOOD WOMAN BLUES is available online via CDBaby.com & ITUNES
A graduate from MTSU’s recording industry program, Valerie was the producer & host of Nashville’s Gay TV on cable channel 19 for 5 years. She is currently producer & host of the AVALON FARMCAST, a weekly podcast covering GLBT issues & politics. Other projects include co-producing an independent film with local filmmaker Dan Heller about Jimi Hendrix’s Nashville experience in the early 1960’s.  She performs these days in local songwriter nights along with Emily’s daughter Jennifer. She is also an avid gardener and a student of natural horsemanship and dressage riding.
